Week 4 (May 26th – June 2nd)
Key Milestones:
Received my first three paying Patreon Subscribers
Received promising feedback from my first Alpha Reader
Word Count: 42,149 (Previous Week: 30,898)
Lessons Learned:
I’m not sure I learned any amazing lessons from this last week. It was just another week of “Push Fowards”. I did, however, get to see a brilliant performance of Les Miserables live at an outdoor theater holding hundreds of people since a friend had free tickets. And it reminded me how powerful story and art are. Especially art that is beautiful and excellent. I hope my stories can be beautiful and excellent, rather than only entertainment. So grateful I got to have that reminder of how beautiful art touches the soul.
Punches to the Face:
Honestly, no Punches to the Face this last week. Yes writing is still a challenge, blah blah blah, yes I just rewrote three chapters…but I don’t see it as a punch to the face. Because it’s literally what I see taking this to the next level.Onward, friends! Keep moving forward. -Dave Ogles
